How I View Education
Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.
-John Dewey
Education Philosophy
My decision to become a teacher was solely based on an intrinsic desire to impact children's lives positively. As a child, unfortunately, I did not have many good teachers, but the effective ones significantly changed my life. They put a positive aspiration in me that developed a future of love and empathy for educating children. When designing a lesson or sharing a daily objective, I strive to incorporate an understanding of our world, how society is impacted, and ways to make situations better. With the growing demand for technology and advancements, my objective is to guide students to a fulfilling future for themselves and succeeding generations. As a teacher, the value of understanding a child's well-being is without price. Developing a connection through building relationships with all students is critical for pupils to learn respect and compassion for people around them.
Providing students with 21st-century tools and skills will allow them to build a life of success in our ever-changing world. Developing a child who can think critically, communicate with others, and research effectively creates a person who can lead in any environment rather than specializing in one area. As a physical education teacher, focusing on affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains is essential for a child to develop academically and, more importantly, through their character and social/emotional health. With the belief that a student will adapt and gain tools for tomorrow through deliberate instruction, my passion is to develop potential leaders and advocate for a global society.
To conclude, my objective as a teacher is to develop a positive and encouraging culture for students and coworkers. Daily I strive to exhibit the resolve and necessary skills to enhance student well-being, cultural mindfulness, and acceptance of diversity. A whole-school approach is required to develop an institution. From the shareholders to the administrators, teachers, parents, and students, we all play a part in creating the desired ethos. The success of a school and the education provided is in the hands of the entire organization. The future is truly in our hands as educators. As we sculpt tomorrow, we must be intentional in every interaction today.
